GLEN ELLEN POND & WINERY ENHANCEMENT
Project Details
PCI Ecological restored an existing 21-acre foot farm pond to create habitat for native aquatic species and recreational features, and restored 275 linear feet of creek to include removal of a concrete wall and the construction of floodplains, boulder sills, boulder cross vanes, roughened riffles, pools, a log habitat structure, and native revegetation. The design also included a vehicle bridge designed to fit the beauty of the restored riparian landscape.

In addition, PCI Ecological designed and built ranch road improvements, installed a vehicle bridge, and created an insectary planting to enhance habitat for beneficial insects. PCI Ecological’s work also included designing, installing, and maintaining native plant landscaping surrounding the pond and creeks, and implementing blue oak woodland restoration in uplands.
