Helen Putnam Park Extension Design
Project Details
The beloved Helen Putnam Park in Petaluma will expand by 47 acres thanks to community efforts led by the Kelly Creek Protection Project. Neighboring Scott Ranch was previously planned for a housing development. Planned infrastructure improvements will provide access for visitors with a diversity of abilities and features such as play areas, livestock demonstration areas, educational centers, picnic areas, and trails – a portion of which will also be ADA accessible. The Scott Ranch has great scenic value and is in the process of becoming designated a local landmark. A Conservation Easement will be placed on the site to protect the California red-legged frog in perpetuity.
