Location: Marin County, CA
Client: Roy’s Redwood Preserve Valley Restoration
Roy's Redwoods addressed ecological degradation in a 293-acre preserve in west Marin County, focusing on its distinctive old-growth redwood stand along upper Larsen Creek. Following comprehensive geomorphic and ecological assessments in 2017-2018, PCI developed restoration plans targeting improved soil conditions, enhanced hydrologic function, and redesigned trail systems. The project balanced ecological restoration with visitor experience, creating an immersive yet sustainable path through the redwood forest. PCI managed all aspects from initial assessment through CEQA documentation and multi-agency permitting. Construction was completed in summer 2024, with PCI providing ongoing design and oversight services throughout implementation.
